Everest Base Camp Trek has been a very popular trekking destination in Nepal for trekkers since first expeditions to the Nepalese side of the Mount Everest in the 1953.

The Trekking starts from Lukla, ends to Lukla and needs for two weeks waliking.First day To walk down Phakding and follows along the Dudh Kosi river which climbs up to the Sherpa village of Namche bazaar . Namche is a bustling bazaar, the main gate for trekkers,offers to see you highest Mountain Everest ,an ancient unique Sherpa settlements and Sherpa Culture's. Along the trail, Chance to see a wildlife animals musk deer,thar and nepal's national birds- phasant. Villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs.

Tengboche is famous for highest monastery in Nepal-3867 mtrs, surrounded by dwarf firs and rhododendrons. Monks are always welcomed with smile face.Sound of Monks prayers and chanting attract all tourists to stop for a while.The monastery is structurally located on a top ridge with commanding views of the Everest landscape.Continue walk up to a village of Pagboche and Pheriche and to see a spectacular views of the Ama Dablam, Tawache and other peaks and then finally to highest camp at Gorak Shep.

Everest Base Camp is really breathtaking mountain scenery and is a massive of khumbu glaciers. From where climbers following the steps of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay prepared for their summit attempts.

We also have the opportunity to ascend Kala Pattar [5554m] from where we can get some awesome spectacular views of Mt. Everest and Himalayan giants which literally numb your senses with breathless admiration that beholds the eye; and makes up for the lung-bursting climb that took you up there. Finally making our way back down to Lukla.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m.)
You will be received by our representatives and will be transferred to hotel. After checking into our rooms, stay Overnight in hotel Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour.
Half day Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour of three places: Kathmandu: Swayambu Nath Stupa, famous hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and buddhist pilgrims of Bouddhanath Stupa , Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and walk down to Phakding.3 hours (2610 meters)
Transfer to the airport for the mountain flight to Lukla. We will fly to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla (2804 meters) from Kathmandu, trek to Phakding (2610 meters) on the Dudh Kosi River . Lukla, the trail descends 1,500 feet down to the Dudh Kosi river for further trek to Phakding village. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar. 5 hours (3440m)
Pakding to Namche Bazaar 3440 mtrs ,We enter the park at Jorsalle, cross the Bhote Kosi river and then climb steeply to Namche Bazaar. Namche is the main trading center for the Khumbu. Continue along the trail and begin the steep climbing up the "Namche Hill" to the Sherpa market town of Namche Bazaar. As we climb the steep hillside, we catch our first glimpse of Everest and the snowcapped panorama of Himalayan giants to come. 

Day 05: Rest Day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.
We take a rest day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. There are a number of local excursions that we might enjoy. We can hike up above Namche to the Sagarmatha National Park Visitor's Center and Museum, where there are terrific views of the Everest region and numerous educational displays on the culture, geography, geology, climatology, and wildlife within the park and the Khumbu. It is also possible to make a 2-2½ hour hike up to Syangboche and the Everest View Hotel.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (Monastry).
We will get our breakfast in the lodge and then start our trek further to Tengboche. Tengboche is a popular place in Everest Region. In Tengboche there is a traditional Buddhist Monastery where lots of visitors come for traditional yoga and meditations. From Tengboche we can see very nice views of Himalayan Mountains. From Tengboche we can see Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Nuptse, Mount Ama dablam etc. This is one of the best places to stay in overall. From Tengboche we trek further to the Sherpa village Phortse. Phortse is a beautiful village in everest region. It takes about 5 to 6 hours then overnight at camp or lodge.

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche Village.
Dingboche is gateway to Island Peak climbers. Island Peak is one of the very popular trekking peaks in Nepal. Dingboche is a valley situated below hills from all sides.

Day 08: Rest day in Dingboche for acclimatization.
Today is rest day in and around Dingboche. A peaceful day of acclimatization, reading and relaxing in the warmth of the midday sun, replaced in the afternoon by the comfort of the Lodge lounge and its wood-burning stove.

Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche.
We set off early and make our way across the highest yak grazing pastures in the Valley to our lunch stop at Dugla, at the foot of the Khumbu Glacier. The scenery is simply stunning; we are surrounded by some of the most impressive summits in the world, including Cholatse, Taboche Peak and the twin Lobuche Peaks. We walk upto Lobuche (4,910m.) and overnight.

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp.
We will get our breakfast and then start our trek further to Kalapathar. This trek is one of the very strenuous yet rewarding days of the trek. Most of this day, we spend climbing mount kala pattar, a small peak of 5,555 meters. The ascent is demanding but the climbers get the most magnificent mountain panorama of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, Lhotse and others. Overnight at lodge.

Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kalapathar and back to Pheriche or Dingboche Village.

We go up to the Everest Base Camp and return back to Lobuche . This is strenuous trekking along with the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5,365 meters. The view of the khumbu icefall from everest base camp is spectacular.

Day 12: Pheriche or Dingboche Village to Namche Bazaar.
Continue trekking down to Orsho, then on through Lower Pangboche and down to Deboche, reaching our lodge at Tengboche in the afternoon. From Tengboche the trail drops sharply down to the Dudh Koshi River and the village of Phunki, where we cross the river, and up toward Namche Bazaar, winding high above the river with views north towards mount Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse.

Day 13: Namche Bazaar Village to Lukla.
A reasonably long day as we head back to our start point in the Everest Valley. We relax in the extremely comfortable Himalaya Lodge or camp.

Day 14: Fly from Lukla Airport to Kathmandu.
This morning we will be transferred to Lukla Airport for our morning flight back to Kathmandu. During flight to Kathmandu we can see the close up views of the Himalayas. We land in Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel.

Day 15: Final Departure from Kathamandu.
