A visit to the Langtang Valley provides a trekker with the oppurtunity to explore villages, climb small peaks and visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. Populated mostly by the Tamang people, the region is famous for its narrow valley surrounded by mountains such as Naya Kangri and Dorje Lakpa.
Spring time sees the blooming of the Rhododendrons and a vast array of red, white and blue wild flowers. Within the valleys, Yaks lazily graze near the houses of their owners. The lakes of Gosainkund are famous for their Hindu religious significance, which are visited by thousands of pilgrims.
